January 2002, The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators announces two new appointments, to assist in setting global standards of alternative dispute resolution.January 2002, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), the not-for-profit organisation for the administration of alternative dispute resolution, announced today the appointments of Allan Connarty, Director of Operations and Richard Rodgers, Membership Development Manager. Both candidates were specifically chosen to provide the expertise to continue the Chartered Institute's drive to become the world leader in alternative dispute resolution, through providing its global members with enhanced professional training, services and membership benefits . Allan Connarty will draw on his earlier experience as Director of Education and Training at The Institute of the Motor Industry, where he was responsible for the international training products division, serving 25,000 members. In his new role as Director of Operations at CIArb, Allan will be responsible for the operational activities of the Chartered Institute's professional development. In particular, he will be developing enhanced services for members and ensuring that education and training programmes provide CIArb members with the range and quality of service they require. Richard Rodger brings with him over seven year's experience in a variety of sectors, most recently at the International Bar Association (IBA) where he led a major project to improve the IBA's service level to members. In his new role as Membership Development Manager, Richard will
drive the Chartered Institute' s international profile and develop
its membership by promoting the case for arbitration, mediation
and other forms of alternative dispute resolution and highlighting
business benefits. Additionally Richard will provide support to
CIArb branches around the world. |
