The Institute is accepted onto The European Extra-Judicial Network (EEJ-Net)The Institute is very pleased to announce today that it has been accepted on to European Extra-Judicial Network (EEJ-Net), with the DTI and the Office of Fair Trading have endorsing its procedure. The scheme, the EEJ-Net Dispute Resolution Scheme, has been tailor-made
and under the Rules an arbitrator can be appointed to resolve disputes
between Consumers and Traders regardless of national boundaries.
In order to use the Scheme the consumer must be referred to the
Institute by the relevant clearinghouse designated under the EEJ-Net. The scheme has been designed as an online scheme, and applications
will be able to be made direct from the Chartered Institutes
website shortly. The scheme covers disputes from 1.60 Euro (£1) to in excess of 80,000 Euro (£50,000), and allows claims to be made in Sterling, Swiss Francs, Krona or Euro - the recognised major trading currencies of Europe. For further information please contact Gregory Hunt |
