CIArb Trustee Niall Lawless visits China28 March 2007 - During a recent visit to China, Niall Lawless met with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators networking group in Beijing at their second meeting to discuss the recent ICC International Commercial Mediation competition which was held between 16 th and 19 th February 2007. During the ICC mediation competition, which was organised in co-collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a number of cross-cultural / multi cultural issues arose and Mr Lawless spoke about those and his experience of the competition. The event was generously hosted by Ms Helen H. Shi of Fangda Partners and it also welcomed members from the China Branch of the Chartered Institute of Building.
