President - Jeffrey Elkinson FCIArb
Jeffrey Elkinson was born in Ireland, graduated from Trinity College Dublin and Kings Inns Dublin with three law degrees and, having practiced in Ireland as a barrister, moved to Hong Kong where he practiced there. Married to an Australian (where he is also called to the Bar), Jeffrey moved to Bermuda in 1988.
In addition to being a member of the Bars of Ireland, Hong Kong, New South Wales and Bermuda, Jeffrey is also a member of the Bars of England & Wales, New York, United States Court of International Trade, United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court.
He is a Fellow of the Institute and Chartered Arbitrator and Mediator. Jeffrey was instrumental in establishing the Bermuda Branch of the Institute in 1994. He is a Director/Partner of Conyers Dill and Pearman Limited, the largest Bermudian law firm which has additional offices in Hong Kong, Moscow, Singapore, British Virgin Islands, Cayman, Mauritius, Sao Paolo, Cyprus, Dubai and London.
His practice is in commercial litigation, arbitration and mediation, and he specializes in the areas of banking, trusts, insurance and reinsurance, construction, administrative law, telecommunications and energy. Chambers Global 2010 recognizes him as a leading dispute resolution lawyer and states that "Jeffrey is very well regarded for his prolific work on trusts cases and the strong telecoms expertise that supports his broad commercial litigation practice." He is also recognized as a leader in his field in PLCWhich Lawyer 2010, The International Who's Who of Commercial Arbitration 2010, The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers 2010 and The International Who's Who of Construction Lawyers 2010
Jeffrey is an active arbitrator, mediator and counsel in domestic and international disputes with appointments from the ICC, LCIA and the Chartered Institute. He is also a panelist for HKIAC Domain Name Disputes. He is a former tutor of international commercial arbitration diploma courses of the Chartered Institute, tutor for fellowship courses of the Chartered Institute and course director and tutor for its members' courses. He is chairman of the Bermuda Bar Professional Conduct Committee and Justice of the Peace. Jeffrey is co-Author of the ICCA Handbook Bermuda Chapter, Spitz' Tax Havens of the World and Butterworths Offshore Cases and Materials.
Deputy President - Vinayak Pradhan FCIArb

Vinayak Pradhan, a Chartered Arbitrator, partner of Skrine, Malaysia and associate member of Littletons chambers, London is Vice President of CIArb and a Vice Chair of the ICC Commission on Arbitration. He is on the panels of Conciliators and Arbitrators of ICSID, a Member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration and of the Court of Arbitration for Sport. He was a Commissioner with the UN Compensation Commission from 1998 to 2003. Vinayak has sat as presiding arbitrator, co-arbitrator and sole arbitrator in numerous international arbitrations conducted ad hoc as well as under various rules including the ICC, SIAC, KLRCA and UNCITRAL Rules, the LCIA and the HKIAC Rules.
