Accelerated Route to Membership

The Accelerated Route to Membership (ARM) is an accelerated route to Member grade (MCIArb), through the International Arbitration Pathway, for busy, legally qualified professionals who have some unassessed knowledge of International Arbitration.

The primary aim of the ARM is to develop and assess the range of skills needed in order to perform competently as an arbitrator in an international context. More broadly, it is valuable for anyone wishing to be conversant with the international arbitral process generally, whether as a party, advocate, witness, judge or potential arbitrator.

The ARM is based on Model Law and UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules.

The Programme is given over a period of two days, with a combination of assessment workshops on day one and a 3-hour examination on day two.

The Programme is not a training course. It is an intense oral and written assessment of your knowledge of the law of international arbitration. Candidates must evaluate the programme themselves as to their personal suitability to undertake it.
