CIArb's evening seminar on CIETAC arbitration
The Seminar
On a caseload basis the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) is one of the busiest international arbitral institutions in the world. At their request, a CIETAC Foreign Arbitrators' Forum has been established in London whose objective is to disseminate information on CIETAC. The Forum was launched in April 2011 at a reception at the Guildhall hosted by the City of London, followed, the next day by a conference on CIETAC arbitration hosted by Clifford Chance.
The membership of the Forum comprises CIETAC and CMAC Arbitrators based in the UK and Ireland. The Forum is administered by a committee of three CIETAC Arbitrators: Sir Anthony Colman FCIArb (former judge of the Commercial Court, London), John Tackaberry QC FCIArb and Anthony Connerty FCIArb. The Patron of the Forum is Sir David Brewer, a former Lord Mayor of London and Vice President of the Great Britain - China Centre.
A series of seminars on CIETAC arbitration follows the two launch events.
