Dispute Appointment Service
CIArb's Dispute Appointment Service (DAS) can handle many types of dispute. CIArb-DAS provides a fast and cost effective approach to resolving disputes internationally.
If you have a contract clause that nominates the CIArb's President to appoint (as appropriate) an arbitrator, mediator, adjudicator or independent expert/determinator or both parties agree to resolve a dispute through a form of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) please chose the appropriate link below.
Arbitration
Adjudication
Mediation
Independent Expert/Determination
Please note: In each case, there is an appointment fee payable upon application and cheques should be made payable to "Chartered Institute of Arbitrators". An administrative fee is charged to appoint the appropriate specialist, who will then set out the fees to be charged, which will generally be at an hourly rate. This can be a cost-effective approach as it ensures the efficient and speedy appointment of a dispute resolver.
Presidential Panels
CIArb-DAS operates Presidential Panels which are panels made up of senior and experienced practitioners in arbitration, mediation and construction adjudication.
CIArb-DAS utilise the panels to identify and appoint members who are suitably qualified and experienced to assist in resolving your civil or commercial disputes.
All individuals who form part of the panels are CIArb members and are either: Chartered Arbitrators, Accredited Mediators or Accredited Construction Adjudicators. They have demonstrated to us that they have suitable knowledge, skills and experience in their discipline, together with a commitment to ongoing personal professional development and to following high ethical and professional standards of conduct.
