Fellow (FCIArb) - CIArb Fellowship denotes individuals who have completed an advanced academic programme of study or who have demonstrated an equivalent level of knowledge through their professional experience of arbitration or mediation.

Member (MCIArb) - CIArb Membership signifies:

those with a good level of knowledge of arbitration or adjudication and their respective local law gained through either academic study or experience
mediation professionals who have either completed a recognised mediation accreditation programme or have demonstrated their mediation skills though practical application.

Associate (ACIArb) - CIArb Associateship indicates that holders have a basic understanding of dispute resolution gained through either academic study or practical experience.

Please note: An individual's grade is not an indication of their suitability to act as a neutral or to advise parties. CIArb maintains Panels of experienced arbitrators, mediators and adjudicators. Application may be made to IDRS Limited (www.idrs.ltd.uk/Business/index.asp) for the nomination of an arbitrator, mediator or adjudicator from one of the panels or for a list of neutrals whose background and experience is suitable to the dispute in question.
