Finding a dispute resolver
If you - or your legal advisers - do not know of a potential dispute resolution professional already, CIArb can find you a suitably qualified practitioner who has particular knowledge and experience of your sector or your type of dispute.
This service is known as CIArb's Presidential Appointment Service and is operated through a dedicated subsidiary, IDRS. This service is available for finding suitable arbitrators, mediators or construction adjudicators. A service fee is payable to IDRS.

Also through its subsidiary, IDRS Limited, CIArb runs a range of industry-level resolution schemes aimed at providing speedy, cost-effective settlement of disputes, based on pre-determined rules and processes. There are schemes covering, for example, the holiday, housing, and property industries. There are also services covering the public and business services sectors.
With these schemes and services, costs are transparent and the tailor-made rules confirm the powers given to the dispute resolution professional appointed to resolve or to assist the parties to resolve the dispute.
