Module 4 - Decision Writing (Adjudication)

This course provides sufficient knowledge of and practice in all the requirements for the writing of a final, reasoned and enforceable adjudication Decision.

On successful completion of this module, candidates will be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge and understanding in depth of what is involved in preparing a competent and enforceable Decision, demonstrate practical skill and proficiency in writing a Decision that is legally satisfactory, cogent, complete, certain, coherent, concise, final and enforceable and Demonstrate skill in evaluating evidence and submissions, distilling issues and deciding issues by finding relevant facts and applying appropriate legal principles to those facts.

This course is delivered over a period of four months, with a combination of private study and face-to-face tutorials. The course consists of an assignment and an examination.

At the end of the course, candidates will be eligible to progress onto the Peer Interview in order to become a Fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
