Special Interest Groups

Special Interest Groups - also referred by their acronym of "SIGs" - are generally virtual groups, rather than physical groups of members, though there are occasions where members of SIGs meet together, generally at a local level.

Members wishing to dicuss forming a SIG should contact Sue McLaughlin, Members Services Manager T: +44 (0) 20 7421 7468. We are particularly keen to hear from those members interested in Oil & Gas, Maritime & Shipping and Intellectual Property (IP).

If members would like to discuss topics of special interest with other members, a SIG discussion forum can be set up by contacting Sue McLaughlin.

Young members groups

There is currently a cross-Institute steering group working to produce guidance share ideas and examples of activities for young members that can be organised at a local level.

If you would be interested in joining this steering group, please contact Sue McLaughlin, Members Services Manager T: +44 (0) 20 7421 7468 and your details will be passed on.
