Junior Member Services Assistant

Role

The Junior Member Services Assistant will report to the Member Services Manager and will be involved in all aspects of the CIArb Member Service Team's day-to-day activities.

Main areas of responsibility:

  • To receive and respond to membership enquiries (by phone, email, fax, website etc) and maintain a log of all enquiries received, response times etc.
  • To respond to requests from members for assistance to log-in to the Members' Section of the CIArb website.
  • To assist the Membership Secretary to deal with membership applications, including communications with new and existing members.
  • To assist the Records Secretary by updating the membership database and tracing lost members.
  • To assist with the collection of membership subscription and upgrade fees.
  • To assist with the administration of Special Interest Groups.
  • To update CIArb website, including adding new events and uploading new documents.

Essential Requirements:

  • Good use of English, both written and spoken.
  • IT literate, particularly in MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Must be numerate and comfortable to work on a database.
  • Must have an eye for detail.
  • Able to communicate with people from all professions and cultural backgrounds.
  • Able to work as part of a team, with a flexible approach.
  • Confident and out going personality, who likes dealing with people and works well under pressure.

Experience

Experience of working in an office, in an administrative or secretarial role and/or experience of working in a customer services environment would be an advantage.
