Stephanie Cohen is a Canadian arbitrator based in New York City. She has arbitrated international and domestic commercial arbitrations under the ICC, ICDR, AAA Commercial, UNCITRAL, and Society of Maritime Arbitrators rules, sitting frequently as tribunal chair or sole arbitrator, but also as co-arbitrator. She is also among the first thirty emergency arbitrators appointed by the ICC and has acted as ICDR emergency arbitrator. Previously, Stephanie was Counsel at White & Case LLP in New York, where she represented parties in complex, high-value disputes before international arbitration tribunals and U.S. courts. She is dually qualified as a lawyer in Ontario, Canada and New York, and is a member of both international and domestic arbitrator rosters for the AAA/ICDR.
Stephanie's dispute resolution experience includes construction delay on power projects, financial services agreements, insurance coverage (in the coal mining and class action securities contexts), aircraft equipment leases and component exchange agreements, demurrage, a toll road concession project, medical technology licensing, shareholder agreements, and executive employment agreements, among other matters.
