Felicia Boyd is a partner in the Minneapolis, Minnesota office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP and co-chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Department. Felicia has more than 25 years of intellectual property litigation experience during which she has led both plaintiff and defendant matters on a large variety of claims related to patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade dress.
Felicia's litigation experience spans several industries, including medical devices, software, music, pharmaceuticals, and manufactured goods. She works effectively with clients and her team to develop winning themes through the Markman process, discovery, motion practice and trial. She has also handled multiple NPE defense matters and has substantial experience working with large and small joint defense groups.
Felicia is a registered patent attorney with a bachelor's degree in chemistry and has represented clients in contested proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
With this background, she has expanded her skills to include domestic and international arbitration. Felicia is a Certified Neutral in Minnesota and Fellow of the CIArb. She is a member of the International Bar Association; American Arbitration Association; The London Court of International Arbitration and an Arbitration Panel Member for WIPO. She enjoys volunteering each year to serve as an arbitrator for the Vis Moot and is a member of the Moot Alumni Association.
