Western Counties Branch Annual General Meeting 2020

CIArb’s Western Counties Branch is pleased to invite you to their Annual General Meeting, which in view of current Government Restrictions and the impact of Covid-19 upon the area served by the Branch, will be held, with the support and assent of management at 12 Bloomsbury Square using video-conferencing media.
The AGM is timed for 6.00 p.m. and will be followed by a presentation by our Chairman, Damian Croker of his day to day work in the technology sector focussed on the opportunities to continue resolving disputes remotely during the currency of the Covid-19 outbreak and beyond.
Damian is an experienced business executive who has created and managed multi-million revenue streams in progressively senior international roles across the Middle East, US, East Asia and Europe, working in a wide range of industries including electronics, transport, telecoms and software. He has now embarked on combining his extensive business experience with his 25 year passion for commercial arbitration and mediation. He is no stranger to mediation, having trained as a community mediator 10 years ago. However, he is now pursuing a second career as an International Commercial Arbitrator and Mediator. Damian is also a Justice of the Peace.
Damian deals in disputes concerning International Trade, Intellectual Property, Domain Names, Sale of Goods, Agency and Distribution Agreements, Carriage of Goods and Letters of Credit.
As well as being a Member of CIArb and Chairman of the Branch he is a Member of the European Users’ Council of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), a Graduate Member of the Institute of Export and International Trade and a Member of Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs. He is a Visiting Professor of International Commercial Arbitration Center for Financial Law and Policy at Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance.
