About us

CIArb YMG was the first special interest group to be re-launched. Its activities will be designed to be relevant to all CIArb members aged 40 years and under. When the group is established, it will extend its activities to include other professionals of the same age.

A Steering Committee has been set up with representatives from all CIArb member regions. Gonçalo Malheiro from Portugal is Chairman and Laurence Burger from Switzerland is Vice Chairman. The Steering Committee will be elected annually from 2012.

Working Groups have been established to deal with the following activities:

1. Establish a website.
2. Provide a Forum.
3. Organise occasional international conferences.
4. Look after the interests of young members in countries where no CIArb Branch is available.
5. Identify and create links with other professional body Young Member Groups around the world.
6. Identify suitable activities to be provided both at branch level and on an international basis.
