Overview

Just like in litigation, parties and tribunals are now facing the question of how to use AI in a way that ensures existing legal and procedural rules standards in international arbitrations are not eroded and, if possible, enhanced.

The discussions will look at the role of the relevant actors in this field, notably tribunals, arbitral institutions, associations of arbitrators and the judiciary and who is best placed to deal with various aspects of AI use.

We will examine the emerging rules and guidelines in this field and explore the need for further action.

Speakers:

Claire Morel de Westgaver, Chair of Ciarb AI Guidelines Drafting Group

Joanna Smith, Judge of the Chancery Division of the High Court

Tim Hardy JAMS

Kabir Duggal PhD FCIArb SJD

Javier Fernández-Samaniego, Partner, Osborne Clarke
