I am a Director within the Global Construction Practice at Berkeley Research Group LLC (BRG), a global consulting firm that helps leading organisations advance in three key areas: disputes and investigations, corporate finance, and strategy and operations.

I am a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Chartered Builder, adjudicator, arbitrator and accredited mediator with 30 years’ experience in commercial and project management. I have worked for engineering and construction companies, consultancies and client organisations on projects in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Mexico, USA, India, China, North Africa and the Middle East providing cost, procurement and contract advice on a broad range of projects including commercial, residential, civil, educational, health, industrial, oil and gas, power and process developments, as well as major infrastructure, bridge, airport and rail projects.

I have worked with various standard and bespoke forms of contract, including NEC3, JCT, ICE, FIDIC, and have assisted parties with both the preparation and defence of claims, formulation of strategy, negotiation, dispute resolution and avoidance.

I specialise in contract and claim analysis, assessment of quantum and delay/disruption, providing quantum expertise in various dispute resolution procedures, including mediation, adjudication, arbitration and litigation.

I am regularly appointed as a quantum expert in construction and engineering disputes.

I frequently act as a dispute resolver and am a panel member of the RICS President’s Panel of Construction Adjudicators, UK Adjudicators, the CIC Low Value Disputes Adjudication Scheme, the CIArb Business Arbitration Scheme and a CEDR ADR Official.

I am also a member of the Society of Construction Law, Adjudication Society, a RICS APC Assessor and Chairperson, and a Liveryman of The Worshipful Company of Arbitrators.
