Job Title: Procurement & Contracts Management Specialist (Consultant)

Demonstrating proven expertise in Procurement, Contracts, Claims, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) roles, I have amassed extensive experience across various positions, including Procurement Specialist, Contracts Administrator (across Project/Site, Program, and Head Office levels), Subcontracts Manager, Claims Specialist, Dispute Board Practitioner, and Arbitration Counsel Support. My professional background encompasses both independent work and collaboration within large teams and multicultural settings. I have successfully managed Contracts, Claims, and Dispute Management portfolios on an organizational scale, overseeing more than 20 mega projects concurrently whilst leading a team of 13 contract managers, assistant contract managers and quantity surveyors.

Notably, I have directly administered a high-value contract in Saudi Arabia at program-level amounting to USD $2.25 billion that involved more than 200 variations, smooth termination of an international subcontract amounting to $250 million and multiple successful claims & disputes of time extension and additional costs.

Having worked directly within multiple settings such as Contractors, Project Management Consultants (PMC), Government Organizations (Clients/Employers), and Donor Agencies (International Financing Institutions), my experience is comprehensive and versatile. Additionally, I serve as an advisor to prominent clients within the construction industry, both in Pakistan and internationally.

With a keen interest in academia, I have contributed to the educational sphere by teaching Procurement Management and Contracts Management at the Postgraduate level at a prestigious Pakistani public sector university (NED University of Engineering & Technology Karachi, Pakistan).

My specific expertise lies in:

1) Contractual Claims & Alternative Dispute Resolution (Negotiation,Dispute Boards, Arbitration)
2) Standard Forms of Construction Contracts, particularly the FIDIC 1999 Rainbow Suite of Contracts, FIDIC Red Book 2017, FIDIC MDB Edition 2010, and FIDIC Gold Book 2008. I have also used JCT for Framework contract.
3) Contracts Drafting (bespoke contracts, JV agreements etc.)
4) Contract Interpretation Matters.
5) Variations and interpreting measurement rules (such as POMI, CESMM, NRM2 etc.) and Specifications.
6) Guidelines for the procurement of Services by (a) Asian Development Bank, and (b) The World Bank.
7) Strategic Procurement Planning, Procurement Risk Assessment and Procurement Management.
8) Relevant laws and rules relating to procurement, contracts and ADR in Pakistan and KSA
