Gillian Carmichael Lemaire is an international disputes practitioner based in London at Carmichael Lemaire Ltd. She focuses principally on international commercial and investor state arbitration and mediation and serves as counsel (independently and with other law firms) and, more recently, as arbitrator.

Gillian is a solicitor (Scotland) (1984), a practising member of the Paris Bar (1994), a CIArb Fellow and an accredited mediator.

Her main sectoral areas are construction, infrastructure, energy, environment, utilities, manufacturing and general corporate and commercial.

Gillian teaches international arbitration as a guest lecturer at the University of Aberdeen. She serves on the Board of the Scottish Arbitration Centre, the Advisory Council of ArbitralWomen and the Committee of CIArb's London Branch.
