I had the opportunity to be part of the Appeal and the Defense Team in 3 arbitration cases (acting as a counselor alongside with my colleagues at Yassien & Partners Lawfirm-which is a prominent lawfirm in Egypt- or even at Wadi Degla Sporting Club). Two of the disputes were before CRCICA (one was an Oil & Gas & Construction disputes and the other was a grain supply dispute) and the third one was a Sports dispute before Court for Arbitration of Sports (CAS). Moreover, i had the opportunity working closely with my manager at Yassien & Partners as Arbitrator’s assistant whereas i assisted him in preparing the cases and providing him with the needed legal assistance (Law provisions, precedents and conducting legal researches concerning the subject of the disputes). In the 3 cases where i was involved as a counselor, i have prepared, drafted and submitted all the required submissions by the Arbitral Tribunal, starting from preparing, drafting and submitting the Notice of Arbitration or the Statement of Appeal or the Statement of Defense-as the case maybe-, replying to the Presiding Arbitrator’s requests additionally handling the Production of Documents phase, till preparing, drafting and submitting the the Reply to the Statement of Defense (RSoD) or the Statement of Rejoined (SoR), and finally litigating before the Tribunal and conducting the Hearings.
