I joined Ombudsman Services in 2004 as an Investigation Officer. In 2009 I was promoted to the role of Ombudsman and in 2016 to the role of Lead ombudsman, managing the ombudsman team.
My specialism was in Communication complaints. Over the years I have investigated and provided advice on thousands of complaints. I have worked with providers to improve their complaint handling function and reduce consumer detriment. I left OS in November 2019.
I have recently trained as a Mediator and I am keen to begin practising soon. As an experienced complaint handler I can offer the help needed to bring parties to a mediated settlement.
From July 2019 I will take over as The Waterways Ombudsman. I will investigate complaints about The Canal & River Trust in a fair and reasonable way and help the Trust develop its complaint handling procedures.
As this is a part time position I am available for other areas of work including mediation and ADR advice and guidance.
