Nathan is an independent arbitrator based in London and Exeter.

Nathan has law degrees from Oxford (MA) and Cambridge (LLM PhD), where he was a scholar. He was called to the English Bar by Gray’s Inn (1999), and practised as a barrister from Quadrant Chambers, London. His busy practice included shipping law and commercial law. He appeared regularly in court and in arbitration. Nathan is a law professor, and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He has taught at Cambridge, in Hong Kong, and at Exeter. His many publications include shipping law, arbitration, and as a contributing author to Chitty on Contract in Hong Kong.

Nathan is currently at the Law Commission, working on a review of the Arbitration Act 1996.
