Job Title: Director of Legal, Walkers Professional Services

Andrew Gibson is the Director of Legal at Walkers Professional Services (WPS) and is based in the Cayman Islands. He leads the in-house legal function within WPS and is responsible for all legal drafting and for defining and implementing strategies for the mitigation of key legal and operational risks.

Andrew joined WPS in 2022 having previously worked as a Senior Counsel in Walkers' Insolvency & Dispute Resolution Group since 2013.

Andrew is an arbitration specialist and has experience of working under a variety of institutional rules including ICC, LCIA, AAA, DIAC and DIFC-LCIA. Andrew has advised on all matters relating to arbitration in the Cayman Islands, including validity of arbitration agreements, procedural issues, interim measures, and enforcement of foreign and domestic arbitral awards.

Andrew is Vice Chair of the Cayman Islands Chapter of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and is also an accredited civil/commercial mediator.

Andrew has considerable offshore experience having previously worked in the Middle East at a leading international law firm.
