I have started my job as a project quantity surveyor in Sultanate of Oman as a part of Muscat International Project for the Main Contractor side (MC-14). There were few disputes with the Employer such as variation (scope), Extension of Time, etc., For those disputes, we followed relevant clauses which applicable under our Contract. As a strategy, we had collected independent expert report (third-party) for those disputes and submitted to the Engineer as a part of evidencing process to discharge the burden of proof lie with us. it was provided by legal firm in Oman & I had opportunity to support for them during preparation of that report.
Currently, I working as a Contracts Administrator for Water Supply Project. With this project also, there were few disputes for Extension of Time Claims which submitted by me. Disputes were amicably discussed with the Engineer. We received 75 days out of 120 days (requested).
