Call for new members to the Global Steering Committee of CIArb’s Young Members Group

The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) Young Members Group is seeking to appoint three new members to its Global Steering Committee, as of September 2020.

The 15-member Global Steering Committee is an international group of dispute resolution practitioners below the age of 40, that plans, organises and promotes activities targeted at young practitioners across the globe, and coordinates the activities of local young member groups of CIArb. The Global Steering Committee places a high value on diversity. View the current YMG Global Steering Committee members here.

CIArb members who would like to apply to join the Global Steering Committee are invited to send a CV and motivation letter to ymgchair@ciarb.org by 5 September 2020.

Significant progress on Advisory Centre for International Investment Law at UNCITRAL

In 2017, UNCITRAL Working Group III (WGIII) was launched and was tasked with working on procedural reform of the investor state dispute settlement (ISDS) system. From 1-5 April 2024, Ciarb participated in the 48th session of WGIII in its capacity as an observer delegate.
