Ciarb’s Online Introduction to ADR is used to resolve the majority of disputes in many countries, providing a valuable alternative to the courts system. In many cases, it can be a faster way to resolve disputes, it can be more flexible, lower cost, conducted in private and less confrontational.

Disputes can arise in almost any sector. Whatever your career path, knowing what ADR is and the various processes involved will be beneficial. You might be considering a career in ADR, or be in a position where you may be advising others who could benefit from ADR, or where you might need to use it yourself.

On successful completion of Ciarb’s Online Introduction ADR course and its assessment (available separately), you will:

  • Understand the background to ADR.
  • Understand how ADR can support dispute cases.
  • Describe the processes and procedures of the various forms of ADR.
  • Be eligible to apply for Associate membership of Ciarb (ACIArb) – ideal if you are just starting out on your ADR career.

Ciarb’s Introduction to Construction Adjudication provides you with an understanding of the general principles of this discipline and its relationship to other dispute resolution processes.

On successful completion of Ciarb’s Virtual Introduction to Construction Adjudication course and its assessment (available separately), you will:

  • Have a clear understanding of the legal framework of construction adjudication.
  • Understand the good practice of, and procedure in, construction adjudication.
  • Be eligible to apply for Associate membership of Ciarb (ACIArb) – ideal if you are just starting out on your ADR career.

Ciarb’s Virtual Introduction to International Arbitration course provides you with an understanding of the general principles of this discipline and its relationship to other dispute resolution processes.

This course enables you to:

  • Understand the background to international arbitration.
  • Describe the process and procedure of international arbitration.
  • Grasp international arbitration in the context of other forms of dispute resolution.

On successful completion of the Virtual Introduction to International Arbitration assessment (available separately), you will be eligible to apply for Associate membership of Ciarb (ACIArb) – ideal if you are just starting out on your ADR career.

Ciarb’s Introduction to Mediation course provides you with an understanding of the general principles of this discipline and its relationship to other dispute resolution processes. This course is also offered as an online self-study option.

This course enables you to:

  • Understand the background to mediation.
  • Describe the process and procedure of mediation.
  • Understand mediation in the context of other forms of dispute resolution.

On successful completion of the Virtual Introduction to Mediation assessment (available separately), you will be eligible to apply for Associate membership of Ciarb (ACIArb) – ideal if you are just starting out on your ADR career.
