Magda Kofluk is a construction lawyer within the Middle East dispute resolution and international arbitration team at international law firm Stephenson Harwood.
Magda has over 12 years' experience, eight of which have been based out of the Middle East region. Throughout her career she has acted on a wide range of complex and high-value international arbitrations related to a variety of construction projects, including highways, airports, mixed-use real estate towers, railways, and stadiums. She has acted as counsel in international arbitration proceedings brought in the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) and Qatar International Centre for Conciliation and Arbitration (QICCA). She is also an aspiring arbitrator.
Throughout her career, Magda has gained significant experience working in several jurisdictions across the world, particularly in the UAE, Qatar, Oman, UK and Poland. Her clients include developers, contractors, sub-contractors, government bodies, consultants and investors.
She is an active member of several international organisations, including ArbitralWomen, Chartered Institute of International Arbitrators and Women in Law Foundation.
Magda's passion and mission in relation to diversity and inclusion awareness and education has been reflected through her actively mentoring, educating and supporting young practitioners, especially women, with their personal development and career objectives within the legal and business community.
