Having started the professional life as a civil law practitioner, I especially dealt in contracts and disputes.

From 2008 onwards, my services were engaged in the contractual affairs and disputes related to the Energy Sector.

In the power side of Energy Sector, I am mostly engaged by the public sector entities working in the generation, transmission and distribution in their disputes whether technical (for example cycling and low load operations) or financial (like on tariff, late payment, interests etc.). I presented those entities in negotiation, mediation, expert determinations, arbitrations under LCIA & ICC Rules, recognition and enforcement of the awards.

I have also represented the private entities in the oil & gas sides of the Energy Sector in various disputes including the quota and interpretation & enforcement of the award.

Then, I had the chance to represent the construction sector including National Construction Limited and private contractors in various commercial and technical issues, including the FIDIC based contracts, in disputes related to extension of time, quantum of damage and reciprocal damages, escalation etc. Some disputes include the enforcement and other include the termination of the contract.

Besides the above, I remained engaged at different pre & pro-disputes stages regarding the procurement, payment, sovereign and bank guarantees.

I even represented clients before the foreign lenders and gave opinions on disputes involving the governments and investments to off shore clients; in particular, one from Germany & other USA.

I even served the government organizations like WASA, PITC in their disputes relate to the labour & service. Had been member of the Joint Works Council WASA (MDA) Multan from the employer side wherein the basic work is based on mediation and settlement of the disputes. Likewise, on local level, I served on different other nature of dispute like family disputes, representation before the cooperative societies.

In addition to the above noted activities, i have served before the local Courts where different disputes and implementation, recognition, enforcement, execution awards and connected matters do come from time to time.

As such, I have earned the practical experience in negotiation, mediation, expert determinations, arbitrations etc. in fields of energy (power, oil, gas, liquified gas), construction, procurement and other commercial disputes. Have been engaged in matters those include financial, investment, lending and banking matters. On local level I remained involved in the matters related to the human resource and other disciplines.

I have been appointed as the "Arbitrator" in a dispute between a Pakistani Contractor, a local telecommunication service provider & a renowned foreign mobile company. Also have been appointed as the Arbitrator by parties in different disputes.
