Part of the establishing team of the Ombudsman Office, the first Ombudsman Office in Bahrain and the first police and prisoner Ombudsman in the region.
Worked closely with Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Prisons in the UK (HMIP), including shadowing and accompanying HMIP inspectors while inspection prison and detention facilities in Bahrain and the UK.
Accompanied and participated in a full HMIP inspection of Yarl's Wood Immigration Removal Centre in Bedford, United Kingdom.
Committee member of preparing Ombudsman’s Standards for Visiting Prisons and Places of Detention Certified by the Supreme Judicial Council.
Participated in the first Ombudsman prison inspection, the first publicly reported inspection of a public body in Bahrain and the region.
Certificates of Achievement from written examination and practical case file assessments conducted by Pauline McCabe, OBE, former Prisoner Ombudsman in Northern Ireland, in the areas of:
