Job Title: Group Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Manager

Areas of Expertise: Arbitration,Expert Witness

I've held national and group manager HSEQ positions, working across a range of industries within both ASX-listed and privately held Australian companies. My strengths include systems establishment, common and civil law application, quality auditing, incident investigation, risk management, technical writing and corporate governance over business management systems.

I’m an active member of both the Australian Institute of Health and Safety and National Safety Council of Australia and have appointments within multiple not-for-profit boards, acting in the positions of non-executive director, board member and committee chair.

In 2018 I was awarded the national ‘Diversity and Inclusion Champion Award’ by the Safety Institute of Australia and have also been previously shortlisted for both the Prime Minister’s Veterans’ Awards and the Australian Mining Emerging Leader of the Year.

I am a self-professed legal nerd a have completed post-graduate qualifications in law, ethics, business, legal studies, OHS and international business law. In 2018, I graduated from Ritsumeikan University’s Japanese Law course with my thesis written on the 3/11 triple disaster learnings for the Australian OHS sector. In 2020, I will be attending the University of Stavanger and the University of Cambridge for further studies. I've completed the AICD Company Directors Course and am currently completing both an MBA and an LLM. I’m also an associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and can assist in disputes under both the WHS and Fair Work Acts. I am also available as an expert witness for matters involving work health and safety/occupational safety and health.

I’m extremely passionate about matters involving WHS, mental health, environmental protection and employment programs for both Indigenous Australians and ADF Veterans. I’ve previously lectured during events held by the Safety Institute of Australia, University of Sydney and Edith Cowan University. I’ve also been featured in the 'WarriorU' and ‘Australian Health and Safety’ podcast series and have had printed articles included within ‘The West Australian’ and the ‘OHS Professional’.
