15 years sea service as a Deck Officer with command experience on British Flag vessels. Over 35 years in Ship management with major London based Ship-owners/Managers operating substantial diversified Fleets with a large number under the British flag. Over 30 yeas as Head of Operations, Insurance and Legal. Over 20 years Director on the Board of the North of England P&I Club and 5 years on the Board of the UK Chamber of Shipping. Experience negotiator including the safe and successful release of two British flag vessels and their crews held by Somali Pirates.
