I am the founder and Senior Partner of Lake Legal Limited, a specialist family law team based in Leeds. Although I am based in the North of England, I represent clients from across the country.

I have practiced exclusively in family law for over 30 years. I was the first family lawyer in Leeds to be ranked as a Star Individual by Chambers & Partners and maintain that recognition to date. I am one of just three individuals listed in the 'Hall of Fame' in Legal 500.

Legal 500 comments that I am 'a player on a truly national level', that 'my reputation precedes her' and that I am 'an exceptional and dynamic lawyer.' Chambers UK describes me as having 'a brilliant mind and is technically, commercially and emotionally astute'. It says 'she is really easy to engage with and has a no-nonsense approach'.

I am member of Resolution, the former Chair of the Precedents Committee for Resolution and a qualified collaborative lawyer.

I qualified as a Family Law Arbitrator in 2012 and have since conducted hearings both in person and remotely.
