Lynette Chew is Co-Head of the Infrastructure and Construction disputes practice in Singapore and a partner of CMS Singapore. Her main practice areas are in infrastructure, construction and engineering projects where she works on both on contentious and non-contentious work. She also represents clients in a wide range of commercial disputes, including matters involving project insurance claims and workplace health and safety related disputes.
Lynette’s contentious work involves litigation, arbitration, adjudication and mediation. In over 25 years of practice in dispute resolution, Lynette has been involved in many high profile matters and successfully represented clients in the Singapore High Court and the Court of Appeal. She also acts as counsel in arbitrations administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and LMAA. The disputes she has handled involved data centres, power plants, telecommunication projects, mass rapid transit projects, transportation hubs, roads and tunnels, LNG and regasification terminals, integrated healthcare and hospitality complexes, hotels and integrated resorts, commercial development (office, retail, mixed developments) and condominium projects.

Lynette is a recommended individual for Construction in The Legal 500 and Chambers rankings. She serves in Law Reform Sub-Committee for Building and Construction Law under the Singapore Academy of Law. She is also a Fellow in Singapore and Chartered Institutes of Arbitrators. Lynette is an SMC and SIMI Accredited Mediator, as well as a Specialist Mediator on the panel of SIMC for Construction, Infrastructure and Energy. Lynette also serves on the board of the Catholic Welfare Services, Singapore.
