Sunil Bheeroo has had an evolving career following his secondary education in England. Having chosen the Economics and Business Management field of studies after his A Levels, he went on to gain his first Degree in Marketing & Business Management with success as he developed a keen interest in the field of business and entrepreneurial.

He then joined Financial Institutions in the UK as Administrator & Financial Advisor.
Following a successful stint in operational and management matters, he furthered his qualifications and went on to earn a qualifying law degree with the ultimate objective of practising law. His Bar course provided him with the foundation and fuel to channel his communication and convincing skills into an expertise which became synonymous to his identity in the field of law.

Sunil has been Senior Adviser to the Ministry of Finance and Prime Minister’s Office. He has been Vice President & President of The Stock Exchange of Mauritius, Director of Bank & other Financial Institutions as well as holding senior positions in the Regulatory framework. He has also been involved in drafting of many important legislations including the Companies Act, Financial Act among others.

Currently practising as a Corporate Lawyer on a wide array of legal areas, Sunil has established himself as an experienced, seasoned, and knowledgeable reference on matters of, corporate and commercial affairs as well as financial services and investment activities.

He is the Managing partner of BHEEROO LAW CHAMBERS, a Law Firm in Mauritius with offices in South Africa and Europe. He is also the main principal for International Alliance Management [IAM], which is an Offshore Management Company, duly licensed by the Financial Services Commission. He sits as independent Director on numerous Board of Directors in Banking & Finance Industries.
