Job Title: Professor of Engineering Construction Management

Mundia Muya is Professor of Construction Management and former Dean of the School of Engineering at the University of Zambia. He is an International Member of Global Infrastructure Anti-Corruption Centre based in the United Kingdom. He is Past President of the Engineering Institution of Zambia and previously serve as a board member of the Engineering Registration Board. He served as Chairman of the Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company, National Housing Authority and Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Zambia. He also served as director on the boards of Millennium Challenge Account Zambia (MCA-Z), the Zambian Road Development Agency, Zambia Centre for Dispute Resolution, Road Contractors Company Limited of Namibia and National Council for Construction. He was a trustee on the Kafue Gorge Regional Training Centre. He was Founding Executive Committee Member of the Zambian Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and member of the Expert Group of the Network of African Science Academies based in Kenya. He served on the Senate of the University of Zambia, as external examiner at Makerere University in Uganda, and as Head of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Zambia. He was previously Chairman of the Editorial Board and Editor of The Zambian Engineer, Journal of the Engineering Institution of Zambia, and Associate Editor of the University of Zambia Journal of Science and Technology. He is a civil engineer. He is a Fellow and Life Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia, is registered with the Engineering Registration Board, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building of UK, Fellow of the Zambia Academy of Sciences, Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
