Dioputra Ilham Oepangat is currently an Associate at KarimSyah Law Firm, Jakarta, Indonesia. His practise focuses mainly on International and Domestic Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution, but also advises on niche sectors of the Indonesian Law such as corporate crimes, medicolegal matters, partnership law and, Sharia restructuring.

Ilham has assisted stakeholders in the drafting of a proposed amendment to Indonesia’s Arbitration Law to include principles and technical procedures from the UNCITRAL Model Law, and also advised the Indonesian Supreme Court Drafting Committee on the the promulgation of the 2019 Supreme Court Regulation on the "Code of Conduct on State Seizure and Detention of Property as Proceeds of Crime".

Ilham graduated Cum Laude as Male Valedictorian (Wakil Wisudawan) of his cohort in August 2019 from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia and served as the Vice-President of the International Law Moot Court Society FHUI, having participated and coached Moot Teams ranging from The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition, The Asian WTO-FTA Moot as well as the ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition Hong Kong.

Ilham is fluent in three languages: English, German and Bahasa Indonesia.
