Job Title: Principal, ARC Credit and Political Risk Insurance

Areas of Expertise:

David Anderson has 24 years of experience in the credit insurance and political risk insurance areas as an underwriter, manager, and expert witness. In 2018, he founded Anderson Risk Consultants, which provides expert witness and arbitration services. He is an accredited member of CIArb (International Module) and Certified Arbitrator, ARIAS-US, and has provided expert witness services across the London, New York, Singapore, and Hong Kong jurisdictions. He also currently serves as the Head of Political Risk for Starr Insurance in North America.

Previously, he was the head of Zurich Credit & Political Risk (ZCPR), a market-leading underwriter of credit and political risk insurance worldwide, with a gross exposure of approximately US$20 billion across over 100 countries and a global team of 40. While at ZCPR, David launched the Sydney, Australia, office in 2006, the Singapore office in 2009, and managed the Asia-Pacific regional team until 2012.

David earned his B.A. in Political Science (magna cum laude) from Amherst College and his M.A. (Latin American Studies) / M.B.A. from University of Texas at Austin. He is fluent in Spanish and has a working knowledge of Portuguese, having lived, studied, or worked in several Latin American countries, including Venezuela, where he was a Fulbright Fellow.
