Isaac Aburam Lartey is an associate at Sam Okudzeto & Associates. His areas of focus are Civil Litigation, Property Law, Commercial Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution.

His recent work for the firm includes representing a client in a $ 4 million property dispute where he successfully negotiated an out of court settlement in favour of the client. He has also represented a Fortune Global 500 manufacturing company in a labour dispute at the National Labour Commission. Isaac was an associate counsel representing a multi-national oil marketing company in an arbitration in which his team successfully obtained an award in favour of their client at the Ghana Arbitration Centre.

He is knowledgeable in International Arbitration and was selected among 20 scholars by the ICC Africa Commission to participate in the ICC’s maiden “Hold the Door Open Initiative”.

Isaac is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and has served as the African Regional Forum Liaison Officer of the Young Lawyers’ Committee (YLC). In 2018, he was declared a scholar of the Law Firm Management Committee and the African Regional Forum of the International Bar Association (IBA). He is also a member of the Young International Arbitration Group of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA).

He obtained his LLB from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology where he served as the President of the Law Student Union. He is currently pursuing an LLM in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution from the Queen Mary University of London under the prestigious Chevening Scholarship of the UK Foreign Commonwealth and Development office.

Isaac loves to travel. He also loves football and is a fan of Arsenal Football Club.
