Lucas was called to the Bar in early 2019 after completing pupillage with Mr. Peter Duncan SC, Mr. Alan Ng, Mr. Osmond Lam and Mr. Walker Sham. He obtained his Master of Laws at Columbia University, Master of Laws in Corporate Law at University College London and Bachelor of Laws at University of Warwick, and graduated from Wellington College, UK and La Salle College.

Lucas’ criminal practice involves commercial crime, regulatory matters and general crime. Soon after pupillage in his first case, Lucas was instructed by an international law firm to appear as a sole advocate for a global construction corporation. He raised technical arguments and successfully made the Prosecutor offer no evidence.

Lucas’ civil practice focuses on commercial disputes, personal injuries, medical negligence and defamation. He has advised and handled interlocutory applications on big-money cases. Lucas is also an arbitrator and mediator accredited by MCIArb and HKMAAL respectively.

Lucas was instructed as a sole advocate to represent notable clients, including The Hon. Alice Mak. BBS, JP, The Hon. Kwok Wai-keung, JP, The Hon. Leung Yiu-chung and Mr. Cheung Kim-hung (former CEO of Apple Daily and Next Digital).

Lucas is also passionate about community service. He is a committee member of Hong Kong Government Tokwawan Area Committee and was a committee member of Hong Kong Government Kowloon City District Youth Programme Committee. Lucas also sits on the judging panel in the Vis East Moot Competition.
