Ndubuisi Okonta is a highly experienced trial and transactional lawyer, who has been involved in complex transactions which cuts across diverse areas and has also been privileged to lead or participate in major litigations some of which were defining moments in the Nation’s history. He has conducted cases in all the Superior Courts of record in Nigeria. He understands various Nigerian laws and how they operate in the private and public sector; locally and internationally. He loves solving problems by employing suitable forms of dispute resolution mechanisms. He is passionate about protecting the rights of individuals and has provided legal support for clients on ICT and IP matters, environmental and safety matters, including representation in compliance, inspection and other enforcement matters; legal development tracking and implementation; and representation before Regulatory Agencies.
Ndubuisi graduated with Second Class Upper Division from both the University and the Nigerian Law School. After obtaining his Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) Degree in Abia State University Uturu, he proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus and in May 2008, he was admitted to the Nigerian Bar. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) Degree from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; where he is currently a Ph.D. candidate. His practice cuts across various areas of law including but not limited to Dispute Resolution, Medical Law, Public and Private International Law, Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Law, Corporate/Commercial law, International Humanitarian Law (IHL), Labour law and Criminal Law.
