Ciarb’s Virtual Introduction to International Arbitration course provides you with an understanding of the general principles of this discipline and its relationship to other dispute resolution processes. 

This course enables you to:

• Understand the background to international arbitration.
• Describe the process and procedure of international arbitration.
• Grasp international arbitration in the context of other forms of dispute resolution.

On successful completion of the Virtual Introduction to International Arbitration assessment (available separately), you will be eligible to apply for Associate membership of Ciarb (ACIArb) – ideal if you are just starting out on your career in alternative dispute resolution (ADR).

 How is the course delivered?

This course is delivered virtually over two half-days.

How will I be assessed?

The Virtual Introduction to International Arbitration assessment is available to book separately. It is an online assessment accessed via Ciarb’s learning platform, LearnADR. You are given 28 days to complete and submit the assessment, and must achieve a minimum overall mark of 55% to pass.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no entry requirements. The course is intended for candidates who:

• Are new to the field of international arbitration.
• Wish to learn more about international arbitration and its benefits to users.
• Wish to become an Associate member of Ciarb.
