She also co-authored Ethics, Law and Nursing (Manchester University Press, 1995) - a reference book designed to support legal and ethical decision making in nursing and midwifery practice.
Her move to applied socio-legal research led to roles at the Law Society of England and Wales first as a researcher and then as the head of a multi-disciplinary research and foresight function, which influenced the development of legal sector policy and regulation through innovative evidence outputs and engagement with Government departments and regulators. Through involvement with the then Higher Education Funding Council’s first evaluation of the impact of academic research in the UK, Nina also contributed to the development of official guidance for university law departments on demonstrating research impact.
Nina is a qualified leadership coach and an experienced trustee. She adopts a coaching style to support performance at all levels and has held Board roles with:
- Citizens' Advice Westminster - Vice Chair then Chair of the Service Delivery Committee monitoring delivery of services against local authority KPIs and contributing to the development of a new strategy and planning process;
