Personal bio

As a seasoned consultant in commercial and dispute resolution, I bring over two decades of experience within the construction and engineering sectors. My expertise spans a diverse array of fields, including energy, data centres, heavy civil engineering, highways, rail, marine, utilities, environmental regeneration, and projects in the commercial, healthcare, and residential domains.

I am honored to hold full professional memberships with both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. My educational foundation is solid, with an honours degree in quantity surveying/construction economics and a master’s degree in construction contract law and dispute resolution.

Driven by a keen interest in construction law and the nuances of dispute resolution, I am committed to continuous learning and enhancement of my expertise. My proficiency extends across a plethora of contract forms, with a strong focus on the NEC suite of contracts (particularly Options C, D & E, along with a deep dive into the associated data analysis and management).

As a fully licensed and insured commercial drone pilot (with coverage up to £5m PL), I am equipped to conduct drone surveys to document work progress or assist with dilapidation surveys. Moreover, I possess the capability to generate point clouds, which can be integrated into Revit for precise quantification of large areas and volumes.

My mission is to deliver strong and cost-effective representation for parties engaged in various forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) within the construction and engineering industries. I have a proven track record of successfully advocating for employers, main contractors, subcontractors, individual tradesmen and consumers across a spectrum of dispute resolution proceedings.

Where viable I advocate preemptive dispute avoidance over dispute resolution, and am well placed to provide advice to this end.
