A Project Controls Professional and Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over fifteen years practical experience in commercial and contracts management involving design and cost engineering, procurement and construction management of landmark projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. This has included Mining and Mineral Processing (metallurgical plants, process plants, ancillary infrastructure), and Infrastructure (civils, roads, rail, and multi-sectoral buildings) projects.
Areas of expertise include international and bespoke contracts, procurement and contracting strategies, project risk management and mitigation, operational excellence, conflict and dispute avoidance processes, alternative dispute resolution mechanisms (negotiation, adjudication and arbitration), and the quantum analysis & resolution of engineering & construction contractual changes/variations, claims, and other compensation events.
