Personal bio
I have worked in the construction industry for over 35 years, including as Managing Director of a civil engineering business employing more than 60 staff and delivering major groundworks and infrastructure projects. My career has been built on practical commercial management, clear contractual understanding and a direct, problem-solving approach to resolving disputes.
Since 2011 I have specialised in construction law and dispute resolution, advising contractors and subcontractors on adjudication, payment disputes, delay, loss and expense, final accounts and contractual entitlement. I act for parties in adjudication, preparing referrals, responses, evidence and commercial assessments with a strong focus on accuracy and clarity. I also work with clients to manage risk, interpret contracts and avoid disputes where possible.
I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and hold a Diploma in Adjudication. Through my company, Optimum Resolution Limited, I continue to assist clients across the UK with straightforward, commercially grounded advice and representation in construction disputes.
