Ms Valerie Kawangu Chiyombwe LLB (UNZA) LLM (UNZA) FCIArb

Valerie is a Legal and ADR Practitioner with over 15 years experience at the Zambian Bar. She holds an LLB and LLM from the prestigious University of Zambia, and holds certifications from the Bar of South Africa in Legal writing and Case Analysis and Legislative Drafting from the Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education. Valerie's legal background is in specialised contracts, legal writing and case analysis, property transactions, banking and finance, arbitration, mediation, adjudication, research and legal advisory among others. She is experienced in regulatory and practical application of procurement laws, including public procurement processes and related procurement dispute resolution mechanisms. Her experience also extends to banking and related regulatory matters. Valerie's Arbitration experience consists of disputes arising from public procurement contracts, joint ventures in mining, CDF contracts and employment contracts. In addition, Valerie is a mentor and serves on the Ciarb Zambia branch executive committee and the Law Association of Zambia Council. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has been trained in all pathways of arbitration, construction adjudication and mediation.
