English law qualified solicitor-advocate specialising in cross-border commercial litigation & arbitration, insolvency & company disputes, construction, sports law, and public law. Accepts appointments as arbitrator. British / Australian.

Partner and commercial disputes team lead in the dispute resolution group at a leading regional firm in the UK, based in London and the Thames Valley, UK. Former in-house disputes counsel at a FTSE Plc.

As a lawyer, I advise on disputes involving trading issues nationally and internationally across all industry sectors, and have particular experience in renewable energy, construction & insurance, tech., pharma., and in commercial sport & media. I am also a partner in the firm’s cross-practice 'environmental' and 'sports & leisure' groups.

Significant experience of international arbitration and post-award issues in the context of commercial disputes, as advocate and otherwise. Typically involves ICC, LCIA, and UNCITRAL rules, but also includes further rules (including JAMS, DIAC, SIAC, HKIAC), commodities and industry-specific rules such as GAFTA, FOSFA, BCA arbitration rules. Experience has included disputes in England & Wales, Europe, USA, Asia, and offshore, various jurisdictional issues, and over 15 appointments as arbitrator, including as sole arbitrator, chair, and as panel member.

In a sports capacity, I am on the tribunal appointment list for the Australia & New Zealand Sports Law Association; a current arbitrator member and Vice Chair of the Dispute Resolution Panel for Swim England (the national governing body for water sports in England); and have previously been an arbitrator member of the Joint Disciplinary Panel for the British Basketball League. I have also been appointed to the Sports Resolutions Pro Bono Panel; and to the CAS List of Pro Bono Counsel.
