Yi Chen

Echo Chen is a PRC-licensed lawyer focusing on foreign-related and cross-border legal services, with over a decade of professional experience in advising on cross-border investment, international transactions, and regulatory compliance. She regularly represents foreign investors in their investments and operations in China, and assists Chinese enterprises with outbound investment and global expansion.
In addition to her cross-border practice, she has extensive experience in serving large state-owned enterprises and construction companies. She has long provided legal advisory and compliance governance services to dozens of central and Guangdong provincial state-owned enterprises, and also advises construction enterprises on construction project compliance management as well as construction-related disputes and litigation.
Echo holds an LL.M. in International Commercial Law from the University of Glasgow and bachelor’s degrees in Law and English Literature. She is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), is recognized as a Guangdong provincial “Rising Star” in foreign-related legal practice, and is a certified Senior Enterprise Compliance Officer. She is fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
