I am a Director and Quantity Surveyor with over 35 years’ experience working in both the UK and international construction industry. I have prepared and defended many claims in my quantity surveying role, been individually appointed for my contractual expertise and claims analysis and advice, and more recently Lead Assistant to the Appointed Expert in relation to quantum assessment and expert report preparation for projects in the Middle East with claims of up to £250m. I have been directly involved in Arbitration, Adjudication, Mediation, Negotiation and County Court claims and have experience of a wide variety of construction contract forms.
I have extensive experience in commercial management across numerous sectors including maritime civils, housing, commercial buildings, retail, rail, fit-out, leisure, defence, government buildings, and schools for both public and private sectors.
I have a wealth of experience in all aspects of change management on construction projects, including the presentation and negotiation of contractor’s claims, in subcontract procurement and management, estimating based on first principles, planning and in commercial reporting.
